This summer I've been doing a lot of shopping and I now have a strong idea of my personal style and my confidence with my style has just grown. I now know what looks good on me and what I like to wear. I enjoy buying clothes that are trendy but I want clothes that have a certain feel. At the moment I'm really attracted to soft fabrics, floral prints, lace and knitted cardigans. So my everyday looks are moulded around these elements.

Reflections of a City
These are photographs I took a year ago, but since I've been blogging a lot about
Fashion and Textiles, I decide to take a break and blog about something different.
The idea of these photographs were to take some photographs of the reflections in
the mirror to create an interesting shots. Some worked and some didn't, I should work on
my photography a bit more.

Etsy
Now that I've recovered from the stress and worldwind of constant inspiration
I can focus on something that's very close to my heart, my Etsy shop.
It's something I've wanted to do for a while now and I have three months off this summer
I can focus on something that's very close to my heart, my Etsy shop.
It's something I've wanted to do for a while now and I have three months off this summer
so I have plenty of time to get my shop up and running.
If you don't know about Etsy, it's a website that allows you to buy and sell, handmade, vinatge,
artwork ranging from accessories to recycled clothing. It's a really eco-friendly website and
perfect for crafty and talented people who love making. Also as we're in a recession,
buying and selling products on Etsy is a great way to help each other out.
So take some time out and explore the handmade world of Etsy.
For my shop I will focus on small products to start of with,
so little purses, bags, small jewellery. Sweet llittle gifts that everyone will enjoy.
And then when it gets more popular (i hope). I'll try making some clothing.

oh here is my final piece for my final major project
I don't usually model my work, when I create a garment
I always have a strong idea and image of the person I see wearing my design.
And of course for my Tribute to Heritage project I never in a million years
imagined myself modeling my designs for my project. But after some encouragement from
my fashion tutor and lack of availability of my model I had no choice but to model the garments myself.
I suppose I was a little apprehensive about modelling my own designs because I felt there would be too much ego in my motives for choosing to wear my own designs. But I suppose if I can't be comfortable in my own design, how do I expect someone else to be? So I swallowed my pride and modelled my own garments and it felt REALLY good!

Special thanks to Jade M.
for taking these lovely shots for me.
And my mother for allowing me to use
her flowers.

Inspiration
Now that I've pretty much finished my course at Bournville. I'm
starting to look for inspiration for new projects and things I can try when I start my degree.
I'm really excited about trying new things, making new and better prints. So to keep my
head in the game and constantly inspired, I'm looking for inspiration and think about projects I can do! These are a few images of my inspiration from Vogue.co.uk :)
