Beautiful fabrics!!

I got these beautiful fabrics in the mail today. Ah I love them, so excited to make hexagons out of them. I really love the bright colours and how the colours of each fabric links to the other.

I got these fabrics from http://www.saintsandpinners.co.uk/ in the sale section. They are 50 x 53cm, which was a good bargain from the price of £1.80. Also the delivery was very fast, I made my order on Thursday July 8th and received them today. So I will definitely order from them again.

Bournville Holiday Project: hexagons

My first attempt at creating samples for my Bournville Holiday Project went well but I wasn't a 100% happy. So I took inspiration from quilters and did some hexagon inspired samples. And I'm a lot happier :)

I think I'll continue in this direction.

Bournville Holiday Project: Textiles Update

These are the samples I've done so far for the Textiles part of my Bournville Holiday Project. Obviously they could be better, but the inspiration is not there.
Hopefully it will come back. However these are inspired by quilting artist I've been following here on blogger, especially her http://www.texasfreckles.com/
